Get all the fun of a sugary, sweet mojito without the regret of a hangover the morning after. Our kombucha here at Tonica is a low sugar brew, and this healthy mojito recipe has no added sugar!

Switch out the classic rum with tequila, for the delicious & healthy Ginger Kombucha Tequila Mojito. Believe it or not, tequila has health benefits for you; it can help break down the fat and reduce the LDL cholesterol in your body. Tequila can also help absorb calcium and it can also give you a healthy digestive tract. But drinking tequila in moderation is the key, no sugar and of course no salt!

What you need (double the recipe for two cocktails):

  • 1 oz Tequila of your choice
  • 3 oz Tonica ginger kombucha
  • 1 fresh squeezed organic lime
  • Muddled fresh mint leaves
  • A dash of sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler or wooden spoon

How to mix it:

  1. Squeeze the juice of ½ a fresh organic lime into a cocktail shaker
  2. Add fresh mint leaves and muddle them with your muddler (If you don’t have a muddler the end of a wooden spoon works great!)
  3. Add 1 oz of tequila
  4. Shake up all these ingredients together in the shaker – The last two ingredients are carbonated and you don’t want to shake those 😉
  5. Strain your mixture into a cocktail glass filled with ice
  6. Mix in 3 oz of our Ginger Tonica Kombucha
  7. Add a splash of sparkling water or club soda and serve
  8. CHEERS!
