Earl Grey Tea and Jasmine Tonica Kombucha Cocktail Recipe
Happy New Years Eve! 2015 has been such an exciting year for Tonica, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come for 2016. After a fulfilling year of growth, fun, and inspiration, we’re certainly ready to celebrate! And I’m sure you all are, too. Which is why we wanted to create the perfect kombucha cocktail for you all to enjoy as you ring in the new year. Our Tonica Kombucha is unique in the sense that it is naturally carbonated, so it always tastes sparkling and refreshing. It really is the perfect addition to a celebratory New Year’s cocktail.
So, we sat down to brainstorm some tasty holiday cocktail recipes, and came up with an Earl Grey Tea and Jasmine Tonica Kombucha cocktail. It tastes incredible, of course, but also has the added benefit of containing natural caffeine from both the fermented tea in our kombucha, and from earl grey tea! Staying awake until the countdown at midnight isn’t easy for everyone, but it’s not so bad when you have an awesome and energizing superpower of a cocktail sip on ;)
4 ounces of cold Earl Grey tea
2 ounces of Jasmine flavoured Tonica Kombucha
1 ¼ ounces gin
2 tbsp honey
½ ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice
2 lavender sprigs
Brew 1 cup of Earl Grey tea. Store in the refrigerator to keep cold.
Once chilled, add 2 ounces of Jasmine flavoured Tonica Kombucha to 4 ounces of cold Earl Grey tea.
Add all the above ingredients into a cocktail shaker, and shake several times. Strain the cocktail into a glass over one large ice cube.
